Against Psychotherapy
« on: June 20, 2019, 04:07:10 pm »
Psychotherapists convince people that they should not feel their feelings. This I have seen to be especially true when dealing with supposed so called ~Bipolar 2~ cases.

They make the people believe that they are held together with the scotch tape of medication.

So this molester was really torturing his daughters in a zillion different ways, backed up by his wife and their church.

In my opinion sexual gratification was only a secondary motive. The primary motive was to force his daughters to become like himself and like the other members of their church.

And in communication after communication with the DA and the Court, I explained it this way.

Psychotherapists don’t want you to feel your feelings, because otherwise they would have to feel their feelings. They have opted to practice the discipline known as Psychotherapy because they like the presumption that you don’t have to redress wrongs and you don’t have to penalize perpetrators. So they play lip service to awareness of what has happened, but they always have to make sure that you and they stop short of the point where you are going to do anything about past wrongs. Their premise is always that it is morally superior to do nothing.

And they always want you to believe that it is all in the past anyway.

And this is always a lie. A survivor is being abused every time that they are being told that they need therapy and recovery.

We survivors lack social and civil standing precisely because we are always in therapy and recovery, instead of fighting to take back the standing which has been taking from us.

Psychotherapy is like a multi-level marketing, an endless chain of recruiting. Unless you want to do exactly what the Psychotherapists have done to you, by becoming one yourself, then eventually you will see that Psychotherapy goes no where and does much harm, but no good.

My Pentecostal Molester was caught up in the mental health system.

I tried to get the daughters to sue their parents and their church. They haven’t. The Self-Reliance Ethic, a bogus ethic, is too strong.

But I also say that the Molester himself could sue the mental health system and his church.

Drug free, that's they way it has to be.  We all need to feel our feelings, and that takes real work.

Drugs do not "heal".  The idea of healing from distress is complete nonsense.  But people post on this forum that things like LSD heal.  No, all drugs do is give you an escape, for a while.

You either deal with the source of the distress, or it just passes, or it clobbers you.  But you do not heal from it because there is nothing wrong about the fact that danger and risk stimulate your feelings.  Distress is an evolutionarily developed response to that which places us at risk.  And anything which attacks our social and civil standing is placing our survival in jeopardy.  Poverty in a land of plenty is caused by social marginalization.  And as long as we survivors do nothing to punish perpetrators, seize reparations, and to protect the next generation of probable victims, then we don't have social and civil standing.  We live in the shadows which the abusers have left us, seen as ne-er do wells and as a social hygiene menace,  because we do not have public honor.

And a psychotherapist is not going to lift a finger to help you restore your public honor.  What they do is tell you how to try to live without public honor.  Because from their POV, the fact that you have not submitted to a life without honor is the main problem.  Hence psychotherapy is indeed very much like Christianity.
